I have recently become involved in the drug court, at the Boston Municipal Court.  The drug court is a session dedicated to drug offenders and  attempts to offer an alternative to incarceration.  The drug court provides intensive supervision and monitoring to  defendants with drug cases and who are drug dependant.  Similar drug courts are already in place throughout the Commonwealth.  My experience has been that the drug court is effective and helpful to people with addiction problems.  I look forward to writing more about my experiences in the drug court in the future.
