Using Private Investigators- It

Having a good private investigator is an intregal part of defending almost any criminal case.  Private investigators have the time and resources to put together the nuts and bolts of a case.  In addition to interviewing witnesses (probably the most important thing) they can photgraph or videotape crime scenes, take measurements, obtain building schematics, draw diagrams and locate prople.  These things can breathe life into the theory of defense and usually make a huge difference to juries.  I'm grateful to have a good team of investigators working for my office who have made a difference in many of my cases.

Guilty Verdit in Worthington Case

The jury returned a guilty verdict today in the trial of the slaying of fashion writer Christa Wotrthington.  The jury was out for over a week and saw one juror dismissed for improprieties.  This case, more than any other in recent memory, demonstrates how tricky it can be when dealing with a jury.  Juries after all, are regular people thrust into a difficult and unfamiliar situation.  Clearly defense counsel did a good enough job to keep them out and carefully considering the evidence.  In the end, that's what we all expect from both defense attorneys and juries.
